Confidentiality and tax neutrality
Professional secrecy is mandatory in Luxembourg for anyone working there, whether employed, resident or foreign. Luxembourg is the only country in the European Economic Area in which professional secrecy is accorded such high priority. It applies to insurance companies, asset management institutions, banks, etc. Criminal consequences and heavy penalties are the direct consequences of breaches of professional secrecy. Only within the scope of measures to combat money laundering or terrorism can the Luxembourg authorities require the disclosure of confidential information by companies, banks or other institutions.
All employees of La Mondiale Europartner have awareness of and responsibility for professional secrecy and routinely display a high level of vigilance in terms of possible breaches of secrecy on the part of all players involved in policy management.
Persons not resident in Luxembourg taking out life insurance policies governed by Luxembourg law marketed in any country within the European Union, under the system of the freedom to provide services, will enjoy tax neutrality.
